Name: Jetfire
Race: Bot
Gender: Male
Age: I'm not entirely certain. He's fairly young though.
Origin: Built on Cybertron, then rebuilt.
Allegiance: Autobot
Description: Jetfire is pretty much half of a whole person- he and his twin, Jetstorm, are technically the same bot (Safeguard). This means that he knows just about everything that goes on inside his brother's head, and vice versa. This makes them closer than close, and they often wonder that if one of them dies the other would die as well.
Jetfire is the more happy-go-lucky, emotional, outspoken of the two. He loves showing off and dragging Jetstorm along with him. He's really very nice and loves making friends, but isn't above finding amusement in other people's misfortune. He and his brother love trading insulting jokes, though they don't really seem to take any of them to spark. They do get into fights with each other, but are often petty and they get over it quickly. Unfortunately, most Autobots view him as an outcast or a threat because of his flight capabilities and Decepticon programming. Sadly that is the way of the world, if you're different people want you gone. But they seem to respect Omega Supreme.
Jetfire is very physically strong and has powerful flamethrowers that can consume his entire body and level a city. He is not, however, mentally strong.
Jetfire has a bright orange and white paint job and transforms into a Cybertronic jet. He either didn't want, wasn't allowed to have or couldn't find a suitable Earth alt-mode. Unlike most Autobots, his eyes are a warm yellow color that matches his chest plate.
Past: Jetfire was once known as Skids and worked in an energon refinery with his brother. Part of the factory exploded, sending Jetfire to his apparent death and leaving Jetstorm to watch in horror and be struck by another explosion. The accident severely damaged them, but they were used as 'expendable test subjects' for project Safeguard. They were successfully rebuilt and upgraded into the flying Autobots they are now.
Jetfire discovered his flame powers in a simulation against Starscream, where he lost control because the sim Starscream was hurting Jetstorm, but was only able to control himself when Jetstorm used his powers to help him. The twins then found they could combine into their 'true' form, the first gestalt known as Safeguard. Once they had defeated the sim Starscream, they were inducted as junior Elite Guard officers, having made it through boot camp in record time.
One of the side effects Perceptor and Wheeljack mentioned was 'increased size'. This is certainly true, as both are now tall and thin, much unlike their previous tiny forms.
Jetfire went to Earth with his mentors, Sentinel Prime and Jazz, to recover the fugitive Wasp. He and Jetstorm were attacked by the Autobots there, because they thought the two were Decepticons. Eventually this was cleared up, as well as the whole 'Who's Bumblebee' thing, but that's another story.
Jetfire remained on Earth until Sentinel Prime decided it was time to leave after the Blackarachnia/Elita-1 incident. By this time Jetfire realized that Sentinel was not the best of leaders.
Later on, Jetfire and his brother were SUPPOSED to arrest Captain Fanzone and Ratchet, much to their regret, but were distracted and momentarily incapacitated by something explosive emitting from the human's nasal passages.
One of the good things that came out of the day was they got to fire a HUGE gun.
Most recently, the twins have been given the job of guarding the prisoners Blitzwing, Sunstorm and Ramjet.
Other: Jetfire and Jetstorm speak with Russian accents for some unfathomable reason. But it's still cool.
Seriously, he's partDecepticon Starscream. This, plus his tendency to lose control of his emotions, is a dangerous mix.
Jetfire and Jetstorm feel as though Jazz abandoned them on Cybertron to face the cruel judgment of the Autobots there alone. While this makes Jetfire sad, it makes Jetstorm angry.
