Name: Jetstorm
Race: Bot
Gender: Male
Age: I'm not really sure. He's rather young though.
Origin: Built on Cybertron, then rebuilt.
Allegiance: Autobot
Description: Jetstorm and his twin, Jetfire, are pretty much the same person. They were originally one protoform (Safeguard) but said protoform split equally in half, spawning the twins that everyone knows today. Because of this bond, Jetstorm can practically hear his brother's thoughts, and when they were first sparked they often confused themselves on who was who.
Jetstorm is the quieter, more level-headed of the two. He's still a rambunctious little thing, but that's mostly because Jetfire likes including him in his schemes. Jetstorm is nice enough, but compared to his brother, he's silent and fairly emotionless. Being an outcast from normal society seems to have reached him and hit him harder. Jetfire often tells him it doesn't matter what other people think, but Jetstorm mourns over his loss of normal contact with the outside world. He still gets into 'play fights' with Jetfire and trades insulting jokes about his twin's looks or intelligence, even though they're equal in nearly every way.
Jetstorm is as physically strong as Jetfire, and is capable of taking down the Dinobots several times over. His wind and ice powers are strong enough to blow out Jetfire's flames and freeze a lake, perhaps. His mind is stronger than Jetfire's, however, a difference that doesn't make too much sense, since they practically share a processor.
Jetstorm has a blue and gold paint job and a blue visor. He transforms into a Cybertronic jet identical to Jetfire's, but has apparently never found a suitable Earth mode.
Past: Jetstorm was once known as Jolt and worked in an energon refinery with his brother. Part of the factory exploded, sending Jetfire to his apparent death and leaving Jetstorm to watch in horror and be struck by another explosion. The accident severely damaged them, but they were used as 'expendable test subjects' for project Safeguard. They were successfully rebuilt and upgraded into the flying Autobots they are now.
Jetstorm discovered his ice and wind powers in a simulation against Starscream, where his brother lost control because the sim Starscream was hurting Jetstorm, but was only able to control himself when Jetstorm used his powers to help him. The twins then found they could combine into their 'true' form, the first gestalt known as Safeguard. Once they had defeated the sim Starscream, they were inducted as junior Elite Guard officers, having made it through boot camp in record time.
One of the side effects Perceptor and Wheeljack mentioned was 'increased size'. This is certainly true, as both are now tall and thin, much unlike their previous tiny forms.
Jetstorm went to Earth with his mentors, Sentinel Prime and Jazz, to recover the fugitive Wasp. He and Jetfire were attacked by the Autobots there, because they thought the two were Decepticons. Eventually this was cleared up, as well as the whole 'Who's Bumblebee' thing, but that's another story.
Jetstorm remained on Earth until Sentinel Prime decided it was time to leave after the Blackarachnia/Elita-1 incident. By this time Jetstorm realized that Sentinel was not the best of leaders.
Later on, Jetstorm and his brother were SUPPOSED to arrest Captain Fanzone and Ratchet, much to their regret, but were distracted and momentarily incapacitated by something explosive emitting from the human's nasal passages.
One of the good things that came out of the day was they got to fire a HUGE gun.
Most recently, the twins have been given the job of guarding the prisoners Blitzwing, Sunstorm and Ramjet.
Other: Jetfire and Jetstorm speak with Russian accents for some unfathomable reason. But it's still cool.
Jetstorm is furious with Jazz for suddenly leaving the twins on Cybertron with no other friends.
