(NOTE: This thread continues directly off of "uncubification", and occurs a few solar cycles later. To make sense of this thread, be sure to read that one first.)

The last remnants of heat from the outside of the small spaceship faded due to the completion of atmospheric entry. Wheeljack, satisfied as he saw a patchwork of clouds stretched out to the horizon as they slowly started to descend towards the ground, put the navigation system on auto-pilot and swiveled around in his chair to face his three crew members.
The Autobot Twins, Jetfire and Jetstorm, stood at attention by their stations. Wheeljack was sure that whatever brute force was needed in this mission, those two would be able to dish it out.
Blurr sat near the rear of the ship's bridge. Wheeljack still hadn't quite gotten used to the fact that Blurr was alive and functional-- everyone had given him up for dead long ago. Yet here he was-- though due to some malfunctioning color cells, a large portion of his body was a dull, practically translucent black. It almost made him seem ghost-like whenever he moved around at fast speeds.
"Alright 'bots, this is it, the first part of your mission. First off, remember-- this is top-secret and all that, so no blabbing to anyone, alright? Besides myself, only Perceptor and some members of the Council know about this.
"The primary purpose of this journey to Earth is to set our sights back on what we've been overlooking lately-- namely, the reason our race exists, the Allspark. First on the list are three rogue Transformers called 'Dinobots', living on a small island in Lake Huron that the locals have dubbed 'Dinobot Island'. Jetfire, Jetstorm, I believe you two have tangled with them before, so you know who I'm talking about.
"Now, the main reason we're interested in these Dinobots is that they were created, not by the Allspark, not by one of its shards, but by the technorganic Sari's key-- back when it was still operational, that is. We want to study them, find out how it is that Sari's key gave them life. We thought only the Allspark could do that, not just any artifact the Allspark imbued with energy. So, if we can figure out exactly how this happened and be able to reproduce it, well-- to put it bluntly, we could save our race. Only a few shards of the Allspark remain with Optimus Magnus, and that's simply not enough to create a sustainable population for long, especially if the war escalates again.
"Still, Optimus tells us that the Dinobots are unruly, sometimes chaotic and unpredictable. We need to find out if this is related to their creation or not. So, down to brass tacks. There's three cells in the cargo hold of this ship, as I'm certain you've seen by now. Jetfire, Jetstorm, Blurr-- you three are to track down and incapacitate these Dinobots. Damage them as little as possible, and when you've contacted me and let me know they're captured, I'll come out with a hover-dolly to help lug these suckers back to the ship's cells.
"Jetfire, Jetstorm-- given your combat abilites and ability to fly, I'd recommend you two go after the triceratops, Snarl, and the pterodactyl-bot. Blurr, your new color scheme, added to your speed, will make you almost invisible at night, and the Earth's sun is going down over the horizon now so it shouldn't be long until it's completely dark out. As such, you'd probably be most effective at taking down the Dinobot leader, Grimlock, given that he's apparently the slowest.
"After we get the Dinobots back here, we'll take 'em back to Cybertron to study 'em further. Don't worry, they'll be taken care of-- they are fellow Autobots after all (at least, that's what Optimus tells me).
"Oh, and while you all are tracking down the Dinobots, I'll be getting some things ready for the next part of our mission, which will take us into Detroit proper. I'll probably find a suitable Earth vehicle mode, among other things."
Wheeljack sat back, crossing his arms as the ship landed on one end of the crescent-shaped island with a soft thud and a ramp started to extend from one side of the ship as the pressure door slid open with a hiss. "Well, any questions? 'Cause if not, we've got some work to do, 'bots!"
