Megatron paced back and forth in his cell impatiently.
He should have been here by now... slaggit, if our timing is off by even a solar cycle, all this planning will have been for naught. Perhaps I shouldn't have put so much trust in O-
Megatron's thoughts were interrupted as a large, bulky, blue Autobot sidled up to his cage surprisingly silently.
"Your daily ration of Energon's here," the guard said.
Normally for prisoners this would be the part where the guard would deactivate the electrical cell field momentarily and give the prisoner his Energon, but the Autobot Elite Guard was taking no chances with Megatron. He was in a max-security cell-- as such, the guard merely pressed a button on the outside and a very small slot opened up on the cell's ceiling, a couple of small cubes of the pink energy source plinking down out of it and onto the cell floor before the slot closed again.
Perhaps this is the one, Megatron mused. It had better be.
Megatron flashed his optics twice in a row. A signal, but not enough to really be any sort of Cybertronian optical code-- anyone watching through the security cameras would notice that far too easily.
The guard blinked three times back.
Yes! Megatron thought, At long last!
He had to surpress the urge to smirk as he started up "small talk" with the guard.
"I see you still don't trust me enough to even let the bars down." Is everything in readiness?
"Yes," the guard replied emotionlessly.
"Oh please. I think I at least deserve some company after all this time." Inform Bludgeon, then. It's time to start the operation.
"The only company you'll ever have are your cell mates Starscream and Shockwave. And they can't even hear you from here." Do you still want us to spring Starscream and Shockwave? You were unsure of that the last time we spoke.
"Bah. I suppose that will have to do, then." Yes.
"Alright, enough with the yapping," the guard said. I must hurry if I'm to get things ready. "Have fun." You'll get to have lots of fun soon enough.
Megatron watched the big guard turn away and start his way down the hall, the guard's pace just a bit more hurried than usual. Magnifying his optical scanners a bit, Megatron could just make out the tiny silver metal bit in the back of the guard's head, where it met his neck.
Megatron smirked as he turned towards the nearly-completed Decepticon symbol made out of notches etched into his cell wall.
Just one more notch to go...
