Blurr had had plenty of time to think.
besides, there wasn't much else to do when your body is reduced to the shape of a small cube.
he had time to think about his time on earth and how Longarm was the real traitor and how great it would be to see that slagger behind bars when he got back to normal.
he thought about the earth autobots and wondered how their fight had gone in that cave with the spacebridge.
he though about how he would very much like to go back to that planet...
frustrated once again, his blue spark flared, causing the cube to light up the dark trash heap. his crushed voice-box made a little whirring noise that, if amplified, would have been him complaining at a very fast speed.
slaggit, why had no-one found him yet?

Eww... what is that?! [/color][/i] Garbage detail. Not fun. Being instructed to wade through it to find out what was wrong with the incinerator? Less fun. Having to incinerate it yourself if it proved temporarily unfixable? ... Why were they doing this again? Oh, right. Guilt. They let the Decepticons get away. Which was most definitely unacceptable. To be fair, they had been outnumbered and taken by surprise. But the Autobot's latest and greatest weapons losing to a couple malnourished Decepticons? No, no, no. It was this mentality that had the Twins hiding in Wheeljack's lab most of the time. They couldn't face the shame alongside the hate. Something was glowing. It was dark once more after a klik. Both froze. "What was that?"Jetfire shook his head uncomprehendingly. "Maybe one of Mister Wheeljack's experiments?"They exchanged a worried, and hesitant, expression. "We will be checking it out." Jetstorm stated after a moment. "But... do no be touching it."Jetfire agreed, and the two moved cautiously towards where they had seen the glow.[/blockquote]

Blurr paused in his whirring. was the time he had spent in the trash-pile finally getting to him? were his broken audio-receptirs malfunctioning?
no, there were voices in the darkness. it had been so long since Blurr had heard voices. the last thing he had heard was Cliffjumper's (he thought, perhaps it was Hot Rod? he couldn't remember, sadly. having only sped by the other 'bot's desk between missions, he had never really talked to him.) grunt of recognition as he was shoved down a tube to the incinerator, by Longarm's orders, of course.
how wonderful those voices were, and for a moment he just sat there, listening to them. they were talking about something, and Blurr took a moment it was him they were talking about.
excited and knowing he may not get annother chance like this, his spark flared, keeping a steady light radiating from between bent metal. his voice box whirred frantically, and words were just barely audible.
"heyyouguys,I'moverhere!I'mhere, youguys!Longarmcrushedmebuti'mstillheresopleasehelpme!"came a timy whirring noise. if one fidgited too much, they would miss it.

As the twins progressed slowly towards the spot, the light turned on again, flaring brighter and longer this time, like it sensed their presence. The two grew more apprehensive. What was this strange little luminescence deep within the garbage pit?
As they moved around a particular high heap, they were surprised to see the origin of the light.
"It is a little blue cube." Jetfire muttered in disbelief.
"What could it be doing here?"
Neither brother had an answer to that question, so they stayed silent. It was then they noticed it- a tinny whirring noise, like cogs moving too fast. They glanced at each other. Was this is a box of wonders or something?
After a few moments, Jetfire spoke up;
"You think we could play games on it? Like on Earth with Bumblebee?'
Jetstorm grinned. "We can get Mister Wheeljack to fix it for us."

Blurr scowled internally. a gaming system? they thought he was a slagging gaming system?
but still, he was attracting their attention, and that was a good thing. slag, any attention at all meant a chance of getting back to normal.
then again, if they thought he was a gaming system, they would eventually try to turn him on. who knew how much damage they could do in their search for how he worked? they might accidentally crush his already feint spark... and if that happened...
suddenly anxious, he called up of the energy he had, directing it to his rarely-used hologram projector. he had only ever used it to test that it was working. his tinted windows and super-speeds made the use of a hologram rather un-nessisary. he prayed to Primus that it still worked...
a feint holoform appeared above him. overjoyed, he started projecting snapshots of what had happened to him, but at such a fast speed that anyone but him would barely have time to notive that a new image was up before annother took it's place. after a few seconds of frantic projection, the holoform dimmed, dissapearing once more. blurr, exhausted, waited for a reaction from the bots.

It was... projecting things.
Under the assumption it was a gaming console, the two were at first awed. The games on Earth couldn't do that. But then Jetstorm recognized something in the rapidly flashing hologram.
"Bumblebee?" Jetfire responded in confusion. "How does it know Bumblebee?"
They both pondered this for awhile. When the answer came to them, Jetstorm gasped in the rank garbage dump air. "It must be a magic box!"
The Twins looked at the little glowing cube with new respect.

Blurr would;ve rolled his eyes if he could have. a magic cube? were they serious?
then again, they seemed young. and it was better than a gaming system, that was for sure!
he forced his spark to glow brighter, as eerily and magical-looking as he could muster. this took some effort, but hopefully the effect would be worth it.
come on, he thought, pick me up... bring me to Wheeljack or red-alert... they'll know who i am. his spark flared again. i don't want to be stuck here any more!

The magic box began glowing brighter. More desperately, it seemed. The Twins 'ooh'ed at it.
"This is being no place for a magic box to be staying." Jetfire said wisely to his brother.
"But we are having to fix the incinerator." Jetstorm reminded him.
They stood next to the box in silence for a moment. Then they both grinned. "Well..."
"We can always be doing it later." Jetstorm knelt down and gently picked up the box. He hugged it close to his chest, and was about to start back the way they came when he felt something weakly pounding within the cube.
Jetfire looked from the box to his brother and back. He gave it a weird look. Jetstorm caught his brother's basic question on the link they shared as twins.
Alive?
Jetstorm cocked his head slightly. Only one way to find out what exactly their pulsing, glowing blue box was.
They left the garbage pit.

Blurr could relax for the first time in what seemed like stellarcycles.
he had been found.
he briefly wondered if wheeljack could fix him, or how. perhaps it was all just a long session with a carjack and a crowbar. but to be able to run again.... it was worth it.
(yes, it's short. my imagination went kaput)

Why were there so many Elites patrolling this section of the HQ? The two had to keep ducking into dark corners and hiding from the soldiers that kept walking by. The Twins knew Sentinel had ordered the 'Guards to keep an eye on them, and report if they were seen carrying suspicious items around. He was getting paranoid about them, especially after the escapade incident.
They were going to slag Blitzwing and Solarscream especially brutally when they found them.
Jetstorm unintentionally tightened his grip on the pulsing box, and Jetfire grabbed his arm when the metal bent, giving the cube another dent to add to its collection.
Another group of Elites was coming down the hall. Luckily enough, they were able to slide into their chambers before the 'Guards noticed them.
Jetstorm set the box down carefully.
"Poor little box." Jetfire gave it a sympathetic look.
The two thought of Sentinel's mistrust and insults to them, and sighed.
"Stuck in a garbage pile..."
"And then stuck with us."

Blurr winced internally as one of the young bots arms tightened, further denting his crushed armor. but the other one grabbed the arm before it could do any major damage.
His voice box whirred, and if someone were to greatly amplify it and slow it down considerably, they would hear something similar to "Careful! I'm Fragile." but it was meant in a simply cautioning way. he was extremely grateful to the two bots, and if being un-cubed meant gaining a couple of accidental dents, it was well worth it.
he was set down, and he heard the two's exchange. he whirred again, in a sort of "It's ok, no harm done." way. his spark glowed kindly, but feintly. it was still weak, and it may not last too much longer.

The Twins stared at the box for a moment as it whirred again gently. It was glowing fainter and fainter.
"It is losing its magic?"Jetfire gave his brother a confused look.
Jetstorm nodded. "Probably. It is all broken, you see." He moved towards the door again. It slid open, and he peered cautiously out into the hall. He nodded at his twin and reached for the cube again, but Jetfire stopped him with a smile.
"I will be carrying it. You are getting twitchy."
After a moment, Jetstorm nodded. Jetfire cradled their magic box carefully, and let his brother lead them towards Wheeljack's office. Hopefully he was still there.

(too lazy for color, sorry. and who's temporarily rping Wheeljack?)
excited jitters ran through Blurr's frame. It would all be better soon. he would be recognized. he would be fixed. he would be able to run again.
oh, how much Blurr wanted to run. how he wanted to unfold his crumpled legs and take off down the halls, just a blue cube with legs. but he knew he couldn't. he couldn't move anything in his slagging crushed body. even if he did, a few more jagged pieces of his armor were precariously near to his spark. one wrong move on his part and it would be pierced, leaving him to bleed to death from his own sparkblood. he would've shuddered if he could.

Environmental compression regulator, check... Technorganic system analyzer, check... Emergency escape expando-cube, check...
Wheeljack made his way through the thoroughly disorganized piles of junk littering his lab. If everything was cleared out, it would be obvious that the room was quite spacious, but with dozens if not hundreds of Wheeljack's abandoned projects in heaps all around the lab, it was hard even for most 'bots to walk from one end to the other. Wheeljack didn't normally mind it, though. He had his own system, and if anyone else messed with it he'd throw a fit. The problem was... he had the upcoming mission on his processor, and as such didn't really remember what his system, exactly, was.
Where the slag is that A.R.E.?!
Wheeljack's searching was interrupted as he heard the door behind him slide open.
"Slaggit, what do you want now, Sentinel!? I told you, I'm almost rea--"
Wheeljack stopped as he turned around, recognizing that it was the twins holding some cube in their hands.
"--dy. Oh, sorry, didn't know it was you two. Sorry to be abrupt, but whatever it is, can it wait? I have to check in with Sentinel, and I can NOT find the A.R.E. I need it before I leave for Earth tomorrow."

The Twins, thankfully, had spent enough time with Wheeljack in his lab to know the basics of his system. Jetstorm wandered over to where it probably should be, while Jetfire held up the box slightly.
"Wheeljack, we found this in the garbage pile. We are thinking it is magic. Can you please look at it?"
Jetstorm found the A.R.E. He glared at it for a moment, seriously considering hiding it. They didn't want Wheeljack to leave. There were few Autobots who gave them the attention they wanted. And after Jazz left without a word, they craved the knowledge that someone still cared for them on Cybertron more than ever.
He sighed and held up the machine. "Found it."
