On Cybertron? Only here. On Velocitron? They never stopped racing. Figures that the Elite Guard would ban just about anything fun. The drag races weren't that dangerous, really.
But that was just Sunstreaker's opinion. His annoyance over the legality of most of what he and his brother did/saw was forgotten for now. His credits were on a red and green mech designated Fasttrack.
Sideswipe, light-sparked as usual, had bet on some random pink femme. Sunstreaker couldn't quite remember her name. Chrome Streak? Silver Smear? Something like that.
The crowd roared with ecstasy. No one had crashed. No fights had broken out among the spectators. Yet.
One of the racers slammed, hard, into a rookie. The rookie spun off course and crashed into the side of the track.
Scratch that part about no one crashing.
"Yeah!" Sideswipe grinned at his brother. "Check it- my racer is beating yours. What was that about femmes never winning?"
Growling, Sunstreaker delivered a half-sparked swipe to the back of the red mech's helm. "The race is only half over."
Sideswipe rolled his optics. "Uh-huh. Keep telling yourself that."

"This race is mine!" Silver Streak said to herself as she edged up to the starting line. She looked at the two red and yellow mechs. "What was that about femmes never winning?" "Oh please tell me that that guy didnt say that out loud!" Streak yelled making several other racers stare her. She didnt care, she was the only femmebot racing that night, nothing else mattered. As long as a mindless Elite came by (which was fairly rare) everything was going smoothly. She checked her systems; everything was green. Energon flow was running at normal, fuel injection systems were running at peak performance, and her engine was purring like a human jaguar. Under carriage lights here I come!

The bots whipped by, Silver Streak taking the lead. Sideswipe was looking smug, and Sunstreaker was raising his servo for another blow when he froze.
Sideswipe's grin was immediately replaced with a wary concern. "What?"
"Shh... can you feel that?" The twins glanced around the crowd. Some of them seemed to notice it too; a subtle shaking, like...
Like someone was burrowing through the walls of the stadium. And they knew all too well what that meant.
"Ah, slag."
"We got Elites headed up!" One of the spectators roared, and the crowd immediately entered chaos mode.
Sideswipe and Sunstreaker exchanged a glance, an unheard agreement passing between them- get onto the track. You won't be trampled, there are exits down there for the racers.

"SLAG!" Silver yelled as she transformed bringing her pink energon mace and her shield out blocking any bot that was trying to trample her, and occasionally whacking a bit or two out of annoyance. She looked around for an opening to get through to save her skidplate. She looked to the center of the track as the two bots from earlier scrambled to higher ground. "Oh look its the bot that made that remark. I bet if I put a scratch in both of their fenders that'll teach them to mess with a girl. When she was within striking distance she swung her mace putting a clean line in the red bot's arm and then bringing her mace around creating a tiny nick in the yellow mechs paint on his chest. She put her hands on her hips and was entertained by the looks on their faces. "Now if you make another remark like that again I'll do more than scratch your finish." Silver looked at the two all the while chaos was around them.

Sideswipe looked at her in bewilderment. "What remark?" He cried, then remembered the whole 'femmes don't win' thing. Understanding dawned upon his faceplates. "Ooh, yeah. See, Sunny here told me that femmes couldn't win the races, and I bet on you anyway, so-" He stopped when he saw his brother staring at a nick on his chest.
"You scratched my paint."
Sideswipe looked from his brother, to Silver-Streak, to the now-emerging Elite Guard soldiers. He cycled through his vents- a sigh. "It's not worth it right now, Sunshine! You can kick her aft later, but now we have to go."
He grabbed onto his brother's servo, who, in turn, clutched tightly to the femme's servo. He wasn't about to let his new quarrel get lost in the mess that was an Elite invasion.
Oh yes. She would pay for that scratch later.

In the chaos Silver was grabbed by Sideswipe and pulled to an exit along with his brother. Silver looked around the corner only to see the Elites walking towards the exits. 'Ok you two the only way we're gonna get out of here is to drive our way out." Silver smirked and transformed revealing her sleek vehicle mode. "Comeon unless you wanna see your engine blocks on Sentinal Prime's desk!" And with a blast of energon nitrous she drove off hoping the two would follow.

Sideswipe grimaced as Silver Streak shot in front of them. He glanced over his shoulder; the Elites were still on their tailpipes.
"You glitch!" Sunstreaker roared after the femme. "You aren't getting away with ruining my paint job that easy!"
"Shut up about your paint and DRIVE!" Sideswipe transformed into his vehicle mode and gunned it down the exit walkway. Sunstreaker was a sparkbeat behind him.

A vehicle of an odd shade of dark red watched patiently as the trio drove off, it's engine growling softly, as if trying to lull it's master to rest. However, 'Master' was in no mood to recharge, especially now that the Elites, of all bots, showed up. They had barged in on a race that he had been watching and enjoying. After all, it's not every day you see a femme winning a drag race. He had bid quite a lot on her, too. But, of course, the Elites just had to show up when he was about to win a lot of energon.
Figures.
"Recruiting again, my little Elites?" The Lamborghini motorcycle whispered, it's engine growing louder, becoming a mass of snarling metal as the vehicle prepared itself. "Tsk tsk," It chuckled. "Those three are mine." It's engine let out a echoing, garbled roar, the vehicle rocketing forward like a turbofox on highgrade oil, it's wheels screaming as they left thick, ebony lines behind them as 'Master' took off, bursting out from it's hiding spot, startling the Elites close by-- too close by.
"Come and get it, glitches!" Snapz crowed, halling aft after the trio, leaving a large smoke cloud behind, caused by him 'burning rubber'. The Elites shouted as they quickly got lost in the floating darkness, earning another chuckle from Snapz. "Come and get it..." He rasped, clearly amused. "If you can."
With that done and said, Snapz focused on getting closer to the trio in front of him, engine making all sorts of monstrous noises as he slowly, but surely, neared the three cars... ---

Sideswipe was tempted to transform and roll up onto his heels and attack the Elite Guard behind them, but he had only close combat weaponry. Sunstreaker could shoot at them, but that would require him to stop. They didn't have time for that.
They noticed a motorcycle gaining on them- but both twins relaxed when they realized that he had also been a spectator at the race.
"Come and get it, glitches!"
So, for the moment, at least, this stranger bike was on their side.
"Primus, the urge to stop and rip those stuck-up Guardsmen to pieces is..." Sunstreaker didn't finish that thought, just huffed angrily, is engine revving even more than it already had been. "We obviously hate them, why do they keep coming back to Kaon in an attempt to ruin our lives?"
Sideswipe gave a bitter little smile, and, even though he was transformed and no one could see it, you could tell he was. "'Bots tend to get ticked off when you break the law, Sunshine."

"Well so far so good." Silver thought to herself as they raced down the corridor. She blasted her nitrous a couple of times to stay a foot or two ahead of the now three bots trailing her. Then disaster struck. Four Elite guards transformed bringing out their swords and rifles. Making a daring decision Silver transformed sliding down the corridor in a shower of sparks. When she was in range she pulled her mace out and swung it in front of her knocking three of the four guards clean into the wall. The forth guard pulled out a hammer and brought it down on the ground causing a shockwave. Silver jumped over it and then pulled her spoiler off her back and threw it at the remaining guard hitting his leg servo causing him to get down on one knee. She quickly recovered her blade and transformed back to her Nike form and opened up her throttle so she could catch up to the group. "Great now I'm charged with assulting an Elite officer."

If Snapz had been in robot mode, he would have been gaping at the silver racer. How... violent. What happened to the nice, sweet femmes these days? Well, actually, now that he thought about it, you had to be a little-- or overly so, in this femme's case-- violent if you wanted to survive a drag race.
So, all in all, Snapz was somewhat impressed. Don't get him wrong, he liked bashing Autobot heads in, too, it's just it took a whole helluvalot to really impress a mech like him. After all, he had been in more battles than the three of the cars before him combined have. He was sure of it, because he thoroughly doubted the the trio had been soldiers like himself. And soldiers-- the lower-ranking ones-- were always put in front of the battle. It's just the way it was. Grunts were expendable. Higher-ranking officers were not.
That thought made him snarl angrily, surprising himself a little. Autobots reminded him more of Decepticons with every passing day-- it was pathetic. But enough of those thoughts. It was time to meet his 'friends'...
With another roar from his engine, Snapz sped up, managing to get to the silver femme's side. "I expect you to win the next race, femme. After all, I did bid quite a lot of you to win. Don't disappoint." Snapz rumbled, though clearly teasing the femme. With that said, he rolled closer to the other two-- mechs, he guessed, from the sound of their voices.
"We obviously hate them, why do they keep coming back to Kaon in an attempt to ruin our lives?"
"'Bots tend to get ticked off when you break the law, Sunshine."
"Sunshine, was it?" Snapz began, voice sincere. "Excuse me if come off rude-- Primus, are a mech, or a femme?!" He blurted, amusement in his words. "Because I've never come across a mech with the name--" Snapz snickered slightly.
"Sunshine!" He laughed, clearly enjoying himself, nearly losing control of his driving.

Silver Streak had just opened up a can of whupaft on the Elite Guard. Sideswipe grinned to himself. Now that was a femme who could win Kaon's drag races.
The motorcycle had caught up to them, said something to Streak, and pulled up next to the twins.
"Excuse me if come off rude-- Primus, are a mech, or a femme?! Because I've never come across a mech with the name-- Sunshine!"
...
Oh, frag no.
Sunstreaker, forgetting the Elite Guard members following them closely, transformed and lunged at the motorcycle. "You glitch! My name is Sunstreaker, and I'll make sure you remember it."
Sideswipe transformed, turning a hard left to stop on his heels. He drew something from a previously hidden compartment on his back. The folded pieces of it snapped into place to form a sharp, deep red sword, one for each servo.
"Well, Streak, looks like we'll be fighting some Elites while those two settle their differences."

You glitch! My name is Sunstreaker, and I'll make sure you remember it."
Caught of guard, Snapz yelped when a blur of yellow slammed into him, rattling him so bad that his vision went black, though only for a nanoklik before it returned. Snarling, Snapz revved his engine as he noticed that Sunsh-- streaker was on top of him, and clearly ready to pound some, if not most, of his armor in.
And he could practically do nothing about it. It would be extremely difficult to transform beneath the pissed off 'blonde', and he wasn't looking forward to having his parts ripped off while he was transforming. So he did the only thing he could do at the moment.
Improvise.
"How the frag was I suppose to know your name was bloody flippin' Sunstreaker?!" Snapz spat, engine roaring angrily as he squirmed on his side, wheels still spinning. "All I heard was that other guy calling you Sunshine-- can you really blame me for assuming that your name was Sunshine?" He was being as logical as he could be, which wasn't a lot.
It was high time to bring out the big guns.
"I'll have you know my name is Snapz-- y'know, from that rice crispy commercial the humans have?" Snapz asked, curiousity and hope in his voice. "Besides, a real name like Sunstreaker... mrrrr. Kinda masculine if you ask me. I mean, racing across the sun would be quite the amazing feat-- and your color goes quite well with your name if I do say so myself." He was babbling, but there was no fear in his voice. After all, Snapz could take a beating-- he admitted that he was almost looking forward to feeling pain again.
Almost.

Silver slammed on her brakes and swung around. When she came to a stop she transformed and put her hands on hips hips staring at the two fight like a bunch of sparklings fighting over an energon goodie. "Hey you two! Knock it off!." She screamed at the two so loud she made some of the guards who were now closing in hesitate. "Dont make me bring out my mace!"

"Don't make me bring out my mace!"
Sideswipe laughed outright at that, even as he launched himself into a tangle of Elite Guard bots. His sliced upwards with both swords, catching two under the chins. The metal split and spilled energon, and the soldiers fell back in shock.
Yeah, he thought. We're pretty well-armed for bots that aren't supposed to fight.
"All I heard was that other guy calling you Sunshine-- can you really blame me for assuming that your name was Sunshine?"
Blaming Sideswipe will get you nowhere.

He couldn't say he was well-informed on the antics of the Autobots outside of Kaon. But what the frag was rice? Sunstreaker delivered a punch to the main body of the motorcycle, ignoring Silver Streak. She could fight the Elites if she was that trigger-happy.[/blockquote]
